"Produkcija Gramofonskih Ploča Radio Televizije Beograd" Every release with "RTB" logo or "Radio-Televizija Beograd" should be listed on this page. PGP RTB was a Yugoslav state-owned record company and label existing during the period of the socialist Yugoslavia. It changed its name to PGP RTS around 1993. Sometimes referred as RTB Records. Following the establishment of the Television Belgrade, during 1959 Radio Belgrade, who had previously run small shellac label Jugodisk (2), started a more ambitious and market-oriented record production. Standard of these records was a 10" vinyl LP with 4 tracks per side. PGP RTB released 6 LP records in 1959 with total circulation of 15 000 copies. The first vinyl LP ( LP 501), released under the title ,,Various - Muzika Za Igru'', was a various artists compilation. One of then most popular singers, Đorđe Marjanović, was the first artist to have his own record Đorđe Marjanović U Pratnji Plavog Ansambla* - Muzika Za Igru released, including hit song ,,Zvižduk u 8''. This was also the first record bearing new PGP RTB label (October 1959). During 1960, PGP RTB released 21 titles and reached total circulation of 86 000 copies, while already in 1963 they owned 13 pressing machines, released 150 titles and reached total circulation of 300 000 copies. In the early 1960s new standards were adopted: EP 7" and 45 rpm with 4 tracks S 7" and 45 rpm with 2 tracks LP 12" and 33 rpm with 8 tracks Following the first LP and the first single play record ("Predrag Gojković* I Narodni Orkestar Žarka Milanovića - Kafu Mi Draga Ispeci" in 1963), PGP RTB became an important factor of music production business not only in Serbia but in the whole country of Yugoslavia too. It grew into an economically strong and a powerful record manufacture company, adopted new worldwide standards, technologies and achieved a great expansion on the market: 1970 - introduced the production of audio cassettes 1978 - introduced 24-track multi-track recorder (MCI) in its Studio V PGP RTB 1983 - beginning of video production 1983 - 1985 from the accumulated profit PGP-RTB succeeds in building the modern factory at Košutnjak, then the most state-of-the-art and the biggest in the Balkans. 1987 - introduced digital technology and made the first CD 2003 - made its first DVD As of 2010, PGP had created an audio archive of 10 500 titles (releases), more than 120 000 tracks (songs) and about 6 000 hours of programme.
